October 2015 Update

The massive work on the whole wing continues.  The complete metal work for the engine and undercarriage mountings has been completed and drilled to match position on the wing spars.  Wing ribs are in place, templates prepared and the wing shaping begun.  The end wingtips have been made.  The cutting for over 140 notches for the wing stringers has begun.  At each stage there are many technical discoveries to match to the drawings and add to the knowledge of how the original workers at De Havilland, under so much time pressure, used their established skills to build this aircraft.  Inside the cockpit, joysticks are complete, the seats painted and mounted onto the seat pans.
